In the years that we have worked with Ihumure, we have seen them grow from a small local association of volunteers, working without any resources, to a local Rwandan NGO with a beautiful home of its own, that now includes a resilience based nursery school to nurture the next generation of peace builders. For Ihumure, our activities have included technical and financial support. At the national level, we have consulted for a variety of important institutions in the private and government sectors.

At the Community Level:

Training: We bring international experts to Ihumure to support Rwandans develop expertise in:

• Trauma Recovery Practices
• Transformative Mediation
• Sustainable Agriculture
• Business and Organizational Development and Management
• Resilience based curriculum for children

Financial Resources: We raise funds for Ihumure:

• Operating expenses  for workshops, mediation and other community-based operations.
• Building a Peace Center and Peace Academy through private donations, and a Global Grant from Rotary International.
• Donating school supplies including a library with resilience based, culturally appropriate books for young children.

Professional Community:

As mediators and restorative practitioners, we know the critical importance of professional community.  Our partnership with Ihumure creates a mutually enriching community of practice to us all which now extends to the national level in Rwanda.

At the National Level:

We have worked with many institutions including Never Again Rwanda, Kigali International Arbitration Center, the Rwandan Supreme Court, Rwandan Ministry of Justice, and Institute for Legal Practice and Development.
